Upgrades

Many scooters are underpowered and limited in range. With our upgrade service we can provide you with a variety of options to increase the performance and range of your scooter. Most of our upgrades are limited to the Currie and Schwinn models.

Mag Wheels
Not only do mag wheels look good, they are also stronger then regular spoked wheels. Over time the torque of the motor combined with the weight the scooter must carry loosens the spokes on the rear wheel. In some cases the spookes shear off.

Thorn Proof Tire Tubes
Changing a rear flat tire can be an inconvenience. We can upgrade your tire tubes to thicker thorn proof tubes. We also install tire liners for added protection for tire tubes.

Dual Motors
On the Currie and Schwinn models we install dual 600 watt motor systems to provide more torque to climb challenging hills and for more acceleration off the line. The system we offer has a switch at the handlebars so you can select the use of one or both motors.

Motor Upgrades
Upgrade that 250 watt motor with a more responsive 600 watt motor.

Parallel Battery Packs
Parallel battery packs will double the amp hour capacity of your scooter increasing it range. In most installations the extra batteries are stored under the floor. For the Currie and Schwinn scooters we can install a deeper battery box to accomodate the extra batteries. We can custom build boxes for other scooters as well.

Heinzmann Hub Motor Installation
For electric bikes we install Heinzmann Hub Motor systems which includes a hub motor mounted on a rim sized for your bicycle, a controller, key switch and battery. Rim sizes are available from 16 to 27 inches. Call us for further details. The motors can be mounted on either the front or rear rim.
